Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in Goregaon West
Dr. Nayesh V. Patani has been looking after pregnant women in Goregaon West since 1996. He also treats fertility problems, endometriosis and fibroids, and takes on high-risk pregnancies. Patients say he explains things properly and never rushes an appointment.
"He made me feel genuinely heard and understood."
Meet your doctor
Dr. Patani did his MBBS at Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, which opened in 1845 and is one of the oldest teaching hospitals in the country. He then earned his DGO (Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics) in Mumbai, and also holds a Diploma in Pelvic Endoscopy from Kiel, Germany, the city where much of modern keyhole gynaecological surgery was developed. He has been seeing patients in Goregaon West since 1996.
Much of his work is pregnancy care, including high-risk pregnancies. He also sees couples who have been trying to conceive for a long time, and women dealing with endometriosis or fibroids, sometimes for years. One of his patients put it better than we could:
"My wife would feel significantly better and more confident even after a brief 2-minute conversation with him."
What he treats
Most people come to him when they're pregnant or trying to be. Plenty come for other reasons too. These are the things he sees most.
Regular check-ups through the whole pregnancy, and the delivery itself at Aarogyam Hospital next door.
Some pregnancies need closer watching and quicker decisions than others.
For couples who have been trying to conceive for a while, sometimes for years.
For endometriosis, fibroids and similar problems when medicines aren't enough. He talks you through the operation first and follows up afterwards.
Losing a pregnancy is hard. He'll look after you through it, and help you plan when you feel ready to try again.
Period trouble, contraception, menopause and routine screening. Everyday things that still need a good doctor.
If you're pregnant
Come in before you conceive if you can. A few tests and a proper chat now can save a lot of worry later.
Regular visits through all three trimesters. If something doesn't look right, he'll see you more often.
Your baby is born at Aarogyam Hospital, the building next door. It has a 24-hour emergency unit and an NICU, just in case.
Postnatal check-ups for you, and he stays your gynaecologist afterwards if you want him to.
Patient stories
"After trying to conceive for many years without success, finding [Dr. Patani] was a true blessing. Within just three months of starting treatment, we finally conceived! Because my pregnancy was high-risk, it was a very stressful time, but he was always available in every situation to provide reassurance and expert care."
"From our very first consultation, Dr. Nayesh made me feel genuinely heard and understood. He took the time to listen with patience and explained my condition and treatment options with clarity and compassion. I live in the United States now, and I flew in for endometriosis surgery under his supervision. He handled everything with exceptional skill, precision and calm professionalism."
"After experiencing two ectopic pregnancies, both managed and treated by Dr. Patani, we proceeded with IVF. From IVF to reduction and ultimately a successful delivery, the entire journey was handled with remarkable professionalism and care. My wife would feel significantly better and more confident even after a brief 2-minute conversation with him."
"When an emergency situation arose and the condition became serious, Dr. Patani came very quickly, even at an early hour, specifically to handle the delivery. His calm approach, quick decision-making and excellent medical care helped us get through the situation smoothly and safely."
"From pre-conception counselling to pregnancy consultations and finally welcoming our baby, every piece of advice and every decision was thoughtful, reassuring, and absolutely on point. The entire team at the clinic is kind, supportive, and genuinely cares about every patient."

Yes, regularly. That includes IVF pregnancies, twins and other multiple pregnancies, low amniotic fluid and emergency deliveries.
Very possibly. He starts by finding out why it hasn't happened yet, then treats that. If you need IVF, he'll guide you through it. Several couples have written about their experience in his Google reviews.
